:: memorial day ::

We got up Monday morning and decided to meet Ashley, Byron + Paisley in Lawrence for some pool time.. Ashley + Byron also had the family over for dinner while Uncle Tom was in town so we headed to KC after Izzy girl's nap.  Dad and Papa were getting us lunch {I got Zen Zero :)!!} so they weren't at  the pool to help take pictures so I had to get out and get a few of Iz while Byron made sure she didn't fall backwards ;)... she absolutely LOVES these fountains {'bubbles' is what she calls them}.
Look at that little smile... and Paisley hanging out on the side.
Paisley + Aunt Ashley
On our way home on Tuesday after our trip to Trader Joe's {of course!!}, Isabelle was excited to have her "O's"... I looked back and she had taken the whole bag out and was just helping herself!
We got Iz a couple swimsuits at Target while in Lawrence so I wanted to try them on, she was so excited about it that she didn't want to take it off- was running around the house in it!  Can't wait to put it to use!
We had a nice quick trip to Lawrence + KC... love those places!

water fight!!

Jacob and I wanted to go for a run so we took Izzy girl by Papa and Gigi's.. as we were heading back up the street to get her, we heard a lot of laughing and screaming and we were like, is that the kids?  We walked up to the yard to an all out water fight.. Emme and Cooper had big water guns and Iz was holding the hose, it was so fun to watch!  I had to run home and grab my camera, it was too good to pass up!
 Look at Emme's face of determination in getting Iz!
 I absolutely love this picture, Isabelle's expression is awesome!
 got you!
 I like this one too, Harper and Iz trying to drink the water from the hose, under the stream of water from Cooper's gun about to nail Emme!
 these girls!
 Iz is looking at Harp like, whatca doin'?
 Another fun pic.. love how the water looks in front of Harper.
I love this...
 see ya!!
 CHEESE from the girls {and Fiona}!!
What fun for the cousins!  It was so hot out, perfect for a water fight!!

:: my little painter ::

We had a nice Memorial weekend at home, got things done around the house, hung with the family and went to Lawrence + KC.  This was pretty cute, I was in the kitchen and Jacob told me Iz was helping me paint the walls, I kind of couldn't believe it because she had never seen me doing it, I guess she just has great common sense ;)!
she even knew what to do with the roller!
concentrating..
paint the floor.

On to basketball...
Izzy girl got this basketball hoop for Christmas and we kind of forgot about it, so it was fun to find and put together for her.  She is pretty good at making baskets!!
'yeah, I made it'
 slam dunk!

For lunch I made this delicious grilled pb + j + strawberries.  So simple, just put pb {I used almond butter}, jelly + sliced strawberries on your favorite bread and grill it in a saucepan on the stove until golden brown... so yum!

:: pigtails + play dates ::

I just love Iz's hair in pigs but sadly they last for about 20 minutes so I had to get some pics while I had the chance!  Love this girl...
 We had a play date with little man Rowan, he was really into Iz in the beginning and she loved him {ate all of his snacks.. oops!}!  We had planned to hang outside, but it was way too hot, so this is us with our blanket on the floor, like we're 'picnicing' inside :).  Thanks for hanging with us Kelly and Rowan!

:: play date @ the park ::

Isabelle and I met some wonderful new friends while out walking, we are stroller twins and had run into each other several times around the neighborhood, so we finally stopped to chat.  We had a play date at the park in Lindsborg {about 15 mins south of Salina}, we packed a lunch, sat on blankets under beautiful old trees and enjoyed watching the littles play.
This is one of Isabelle's new friends - Greta.
love that sunshine.
thinking about going down..
i did it!
Isabelle loved this little bridge, she walked back and forth so many times and got so excited each time she made it to the end.. it just made her so happy- loved watching her.
look at that face...
We had such a great time at the park and meeting new friends!  Lindsborg is a neat little Swedish town with a tea house and the little bike carriages that you can rent + ride around town.. we definitely need to make a trip back!  It's so fun to explore new towns!
