25 Weeks!!

Pretty much the same pic, different backgrounds, just couldn't decide on which one to use!
Update on the babe from the Baby Center:
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

I am still doing well, tired more during the week, but I guess that comes with the territory ;).  I will say that it is entirely too hot out!  I am still eating a lot of pb & j's and always want ice cream or frozen yogurt after dinner (I know, trouble!).  Jacob and I have been looking into childcare and it is a little intimidating... not cheap!  Which one of our friends or family wants to move to Lawrence and be our nanny?  Please!  We got our little miss's bedding in the mail this week so that was exciting, it's super cute!

24 weeks, 6 months!!

We are getting there, I can't believe it has been 6 months!  She is growing and moving all the time!  Jacob felt her move the other night, so that was good!  I am still feeling good, working out and trying not to buy maternity clothes... I have gotten by with only buying a few pairs of pants so far, so we'll see how long that lasts, some things that I could pull off a couple weeks ago, don't work anymore.  We will have some new backgrounds now while we are in 'temporary housing' ;).

Week 2 of the RENO!

This is now what the entry to our backyard looks like, fence is down, plants demolished, sidewalk messed up... pretty sad!
The back of our house with the (swimming pool) hole dug for the foundation of the addition.
Our kitchen... not so much anymore!
Our closet empty, before it all got taken out :(

Banana Muffins and the RENO begins...

The last night to cook in the kitchen, made yummy banana muffins and loaves.
Okay, so I didn't realize how big I looked until I had this apron on and Jacob took the picture... wow!
Our house the night before the reno starts...
Day 1, the patio gets removed... Reggie is checking things out.
Day 2, shingles removed and everything removed from the dining room and kitchen ('before' shots)...
For those of  you who don't know, yes, we are crazy and doing a pretty major reno on our house 4 months before baby Wilson is born!  Just wanted to share the progress with our friends and family!

22 weeks!!

22 weeks and feeling good!  The Baby Center says she is about 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and developing her tiny tooth buds beneath her gums (crazy!).  I feel her move around a lot more and more often, but still no powerful kicks or anything.  I have been having some crazy dreams, some with babies in them and some that are just so weird!  The belly is definitely getting bigger, I am growing out of a few things I was able to wear and some dresses are now too short in the front (yeah, not cute!) so I am in the market for long summer dresses!

The 4th of July in Chicago!

Jacob with the belly!

The belly at the beach,  out in full force!

We ate at a tapas place ('People') Saturday night and they made a delicious mocktail!  Probably the best non-alcoholic mojito I've ever had (well, it's the only one I've ever had, but I didn't think it would be good without the alcohol)!

It's a GIRL!!!

Yay!  We had another sonogram today and it's officially a girl (see first picture below ;) ), she is 1 lb 1 oz and right on track for the Nov. 11 due date... the doctor said she is in the 60th percentile, which is good! She was moving around the whole sono and her mouth was opening and closing a lot (eating the amniotic fluid (and breakfast!), which is good).  I thought this post called for pink font :)!
There's the little lady!  She has such a tiny bum and thighs!  The circle in the middle of her legs is the placenta, just in case you were wondering ;).

Her little hands were up by her face and above her head the whole time, so cute!

Great shot of her little foot (the other one is behind it, you can kind of see the heel)!

Profile shot, you can see her little tummy in this one (the dark circle in her belly).

21 Weeks!! The belly... and Reggie :)!

I can't believe I am 21 weeks, time flys!  The Babycenter says the babe is about three-quarters of a pound and approx. 10 1/2 inches long (the length of a carrot).  I have been feeling her move more, mostly at night when I am laying down and still just flutters... we tried to get Jacob to feel it last night and he said he didn't know if he did (I think he did, it's just weird and almost feels like my tum rumbling so I don't think he knew it was the babe ;) ).  We go to the doctor Tuesday morning for another sonogram and we can't wait!  We are off to Chicago today for the 4th!  Hope everyone has fun and safe 4th of July weekends!  XOXO, Leah
