Salina/Memorial Weekend!

 Izzy girl wore her dress because it's been so hot out and she just looked too cute.

 We went to Salina for Morgan and Zak's wedding so Iz got to hang out with her cousins and Gigi and Papa again... yes, she did have her first taste of a popsicle and she was very unsure of it!

 We met friends for dinner at Scheme and it was delicious as always.

 Henry made an appearance at the wedding in his three piece suit, adorable!

Yeah, I tried to get Jacob to dance with me... this is what I got!

The beautiful bride!  Congrats Zak and Morgan!!

 We drove home on Sunday so we could have time at home and Iz played in her bouncy on the front porch while dad planted some plants.

Iz wore this adorable outfit from her friend Greyson (the Wasingers) and it was so cute on her, thanks again friends!

So this is kind of random, but I just finished the book from our honeymoon (finally... and yes, 2 years later), but it took a lot of time to do and was fun to reminisce so I thought I would share it with you!  Hope you enjoy!

Vegas Baby!

9 of us girls went to Vegas for one of my BF's bachelorette parties and it was a blast!

Some of us got in Thursday night so we got up and went to breakfast on the strip while we waited for the other girls to get in town... it was delicious!

And, we accidentally got yard drinks of Miami Vices... we thought we were on Spring Break again I guess (and realized we probably could have shared after the fact)!

We went to the Marquee at the Cosmopolitan on Friday night and this is us standing in the longest line ever.. we were like herded cattle and it was like you were never going to get to the actual club... the anticipation...

 The most appropriate sign was hanging on the wall right when we walked in.

We had breakfast at Max Brenner and it was AMAZING, they give you chocolate with everything and it's so delicious... Abbey's (bride to be) meal was probably the most delectable thing ever, strawberry waffles that tasted like strawberry shortcake almost, I couldn't stop taking bites (yes, that is melted white chocolate that she poured on top).

We were 'wiggin out' for Abbey's bach party and wore these super bright wigs out on the town, it was pretty funny, you would have thought we were famous with how many people wanted to take pictures of us and with us.

We went to Tao at the Venetian and had the best surprise while we were on the dance floor, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas jumped up on the DJ stand and sang two songs, it was pretty awesome... here is a preview...

                                            

Izzy girl was with dad at her Papa and Gigi's so I was lucky to receive these adorable pics and video from Jacob while I was gone.. I swear that kept me going, but just made me miss her more.  She had so much fun playing with her cousins all day!

I cannot believe how long her legs look in this picture!

I love the picture of Isabelle with Papa on the swing, it is too sweet!  And, her little grin at dad in her highchair after dinner!  Thank you love for sending me so many great pics of Iz while I was gone!

6 month Doc. Appt!

We had her 6 month appt. yesterday, but it's more like her 6 1/2 month appointment.

I love when I get to take Isabelle to the doctor because then I get to hang out with her in the morning and she is always so happy.  

Iz has figured out how to make Sophie the giraffe squeak... not sure if that's a good thing ;)... love her face of determination in the first pic.

Iz seems to be thinning out a little.. she weighs 17.5 lbs (71%) and is 27.5" long (94%), she is so long!  I don't feel like she looks as rolly as she did at her last appt. pic... I know, there are still rolls for sure!  Her head circumference is 17.25" (82%) and the doctor said she looked great and all is well.  Iz was so happy and smiley, the doctor said she was such a flirt, it was pretty funny.  Unfortunately she had to get two shots, she did so good on the first one and then started screaming on the second, but was fine once I picked her up, then crashed once we got in the car... I'm so glad she sleeps off her shots as opposed to being super fussy.

The doc said we should be feeding her 3 times a day now, rice cereal in the morning, fruits or veggies (or both) for lunch and dinner, just like a big girl!  We go back to the doctor when Iz is 9 months (hopefully we stay healthy and that's really the next time we see the doc!). 

Izzy girl loves to swing...

Isabelle went to work with dad today so she got to hang out with Gigi all day.  I was lucky to receive these super cute pics from Gigi, they made my day!  I guess Isabelle LOVES to swing... Jacob said it was scary and that he freaked out when he saw her, but she seems to be enjoying her self!

I just had to add this one because I can't believe how big she is and that she can just handle her own bottle.

Sunday fun day!

I just love Isabelle's eyelashes, they are so long and I always find myself taking pictures of her sleeping so I can try and capture them. and the little pucker she makes with her lips sometimes when she's sleeping

Izzy girl played in her bouncy composer seat while I made breakfast...

Banana pancakes!  So good, I couldn't stop singing Jack Johnson, "I'll make you banana pancakes, pretend like it's the weekend now"... I had never made them and just made some whole wheat pancakes, cut up some bananas and threw them in, there were tasty!

This just cracked me up, Isabelle gets so excited around Reg and Lucy and she was just giggling while Lucy was sitting by her.

Then Lucy was like, what are you looking at?!

Izzy girl got blinds in her room!  I was so excited to get the hung because now her room won't be so bright when she goes to bed when it's still light out.

And, we have pink eye... in both eyes!

Jacob stayed in Salina Tuesday night so I took a good morning picture of Iz and I thought she looked a little off, but then I just thought she was still tired so I took her to daycare.  Jennifer called during lunch saying Isabelle had woken up from her nap with her eye crusted shut and that she was pretty sure she had pink eye and that I needed to pick her up asap... eek because I didn't drive to work that day!  Thanks again Laura for taking me to my car!

 I started tearing up when I saw my little babe with red swollen eyes and gunk coming out of them, poor thing!  We went to the doctor and she had pink eye in both eyes and was all congested!  Babies tear ducts are a lot lower on their noses so the doctor was squeezing the middle of her nose and all this green goo was coming out, it was pretty gross and I felt so bad for her!  I never had pink eye, so I had no idea what it was like!  We had to get eye drops to clear it up and I had to take this pic because the pharmacist was like, "if you miss her eye or if the drop rolls out, just put another one in, there is a lot in there", umm, you may not even be able to see the drops because the bottle is SO small!  

This is what poor Izzy girl looked like when she woke up after I cleaned her eyes up with a warm wash cloth... I just couldn't handle it, she could barely see out of her left one.

I just love these pictures, she has found that Jacob's hair is really soft and she kept putting her face up to him and touching it... and then she was cuddling with him... so cute.

So, this was funny, we were home with Iz on Thursday because she had to be on the drops for 24 hrs before she could go back to daycare so I stayed home with her and we all went to lunch on Mass (and accidentally went into a few stores), so on Friday, we got a text from Jennifer saying she just logged on to 'ljworld.com' and saw a cute couple with an adorable baby and I was like, uhh... are you saying we are on there?  SO I logged onto the newspaper and there we were, front and center on the main page of the paper!  Our debut in the paper and I didn't shower and am in workout clothes... dang it!

 Iz on Friday, her eyes look so much better :)

I had planned on staying home with Iz on Friday because or daycare was supposed to be closed so I got to hang out with Iz for another day... it was wonderful, I got to have her fall asleep on me like she did when she was really little... loved it.

This pic is kind of hard to see, but it cracked me up because Iz is squeezing Lucy's ear with one hand and her back with the other and Luc just sat there, she loves her!  

Isabelle is just so big now, holding her bottle... since I am weaning, one of her feedings had to be a bottle... so hard to wean when I was home with her!  I just wanted to nurse her every feeding.  We are so glad Isabelle is all healthy again!
