Mom and Isabelle day!

Our daycare was closed yesterday so I got to stay home with Iz and it was so wonderful!  Here a 'few' (let's be honest, we all know I take an 'over abundance' amount of pictures of my little lady and can never decide which to share!) pics from our day....

 Morning mom... I was so happy to be able to spend the morning with her, she is always so fun, chatty and smiley, it's my favorite time of day with her (and we usually don't get to enjoy her then, so it was a treat!). It was also nice to lounge in our pjs for a while :)

 It was a beautiful day, so we got to go on a long walk... kind of windy so I was trying to shield her with blankets and they kept falling on her head... sorry mama!

And, she's out!  We had to change her shirt because of all her drool these days.  We had such a fun relaxing day, got a few errands done and just hung out... I love spending time with my little mama!!

Izzy girl loves the bath now!  She splashes like crazy (like water is all over the mirror, counter, everywhere) and bangs her toys all over the place, it's pretty fun to watch her... and, she doesn't want to get out, but once she does, she loves to watch the water go down the drain... oh and, do they make training bras for babies ;)?

Happy 2 Years to my love!!

Jacob and I celebrated our two year Anniversary (9 yrs of being together!) yesterday and I came home to these beautiful flowers from him!  Yes, the card says 'Beans'... for those of you who don't know, his family calls me beans (I'm sure you can guess why)!  Our friend Lisa came over to 'watch' Iz (she was in bed before we left) so we could go on a date to dinner... it was so nice to go to dinner as the two of us again, not that we don't love having Isabelle around, but you know what I mean!  I can't believe it has already been two years, I love you so much dear!

Happy Easter!

It was a beautiful day for Isabelle's first Easter so we got to take our family photo outside.

You will have to brace yourself, I had a hard time eliminating pictures, I wanted to share them all!

Iz and mom at church... it's really nice because the church we have been going to has tables in the back for people with little ones, so we have plenty of room for all our stuff (carseat, diaper bag, etc.) and it's not as disctracting to stand when Iz gets antsy... I love it!  When we sat down Iz had quite the spit up that went all over my dress and then during the first silent prayer, she started giggling and talking, it was pretty funny!  You just never know what you have in store for you as a mom!

A couple of my distraction tactics... she loves to look at my cell phone so I was trying to keep her occupied during the sermon with it, lasted about 1 minute... then she looked at a book for another minute or so... the girl definitely had ants in her pants!

My friend Lisa went to church with us and I just thought this pic was so cute!  She just moved back home and we miss her tons!

We made Iz a little Easter basket, it will definitely be more full next year when she will be able to enjoy it a little more... she does love her little lamb though!  I made Isabelle a personalized book from 'iseeme.com' and it's the sweetest thing, they have different books you can choose from... such a cute gift idea (thanks for the idea Kel!).

We had to go by the grocery store on our way home so we could make lunch and Iz was such a trooper in the cart!

We thought it was only appropriate to change her into her bunny onesie and bib!  This is also one of her new faces we love, we call it the 'toothless old man smile'.

We had a nice low key Easter for our first Easter with Isabelle and we look forward to many more!  We hope you all had wonderful Easters as well!

I love taking pictures of Iz (shocking, I know) in her Bumbo during dinner because she is always so funny and animated, here are a few....

 Her teething ring... has been used a lot lately!

For some reason she loves her box of rice cereal, it keeps her entertained while I'm preparing her fancy feast... apparently I wasn't fast enough because she started chewing on the box!  I love that her face is right above the Gerber babies'.

We also had a mini milestone yesterday (the 21st), Izzy girl had her first 'real' big girl poo!  It was so crazy to open her dipe and see solid poo!  I was like, 'dad, Iz had a real poo, she's so big'!  It's the little things that excite these days ;).  Sorry if this is TMI for you!

LA! First time away from our little one...

I was going to LA for work on Thursday so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to make a weekend of it and see our friends!  Jacob, Jack and Kellie got in Friday morning and I met up with them after work for dinner, drinks and a comedy show.

 We rode bikes to the beach on a mini pub crawl, it was the best thing ever!  There is nothing like riding along the ocean in wonderful weather and having a few delicious beverages along the way.

 Redondo Beach

 We found out that the Beverly Hills 90210 beach house was a bike ride away, so we couldn't resist going to see it.. and of course, had to get our picture taken in front of it!

 The whole clan... thanks again friends for letting us stay, we had such a great time! 

 While we were gone, Izzy girl stayed with Papa and Gigi and also had a great time!

 It was so hard being away from Iz and I missed her so much, but it was so nice to get updates and pictures of her from Gigi!  These are some of my favorites that I got, I would just stare at them forever and show them to everyone :).  

I absolutely love this picture of her with Harper (thanks for sending Courtney!) because it looks like Harper is showing her something and she is really interested, just hanging out!  I also loved the one of her passed out with her arms up, just like her 'touchdown' from her newborn days :).

She had such a great time with her cousins, thanks Emme and Harper for entertaining our little one!  Iz also had a few firsts while we were gone, she tried different foods, drank water from a sippy cup (such a big girl) and slept with a blanket!  I know those don't seem like big deals, but they were still firsts!

The night before I left I did not want to put Iz in her crib because I knew I wouldn't see her in the morning and I was so sad to leave her, I couldn't stop crying.. Iz was looking at me like, 'what is wrong with you mom?'.  It was definitely tough to leave her for 4.5 days, but it was kind of refreshing for us to have a mini vaca.  Gigi brought Isabelle to us Monday afternoon and it was so good to see her, made me cry again!  She was so sweet, she gave me a hug when I held her and then was reaching for me when she was sitting on Gigi's lap, made me feel good, like she may have missed me ;).  It really made me not want to leave her again!

If any one needs tips on pumping and storing milk while traveling, I am now a pro!  I have pumped in more places than I ever thought I would!  Glad to say we successfully made it home with a ton of milk to restock our freezer!  I think the security guy at the airport was a little overwhelmed when he opened the cooler bag and saw all the bags, it was pretty heavy!
