:: the library ::

Isabelle and I found one of our outlets - the library!  With this being the first real week home with Isabelle and it raining 3 days in a row, we were a little stir crazy and both needed to get out of the house - so we found ourselves at the library.  I needed to get a card and the whole downstairs is for kids so Isabelle made herself right at home, she loved it!

This is like her dream, she loves computers so much, you should have seen her face when she realized she could sit down at it and touch the keyboard!

She played with puzzles, puppets, blocks, books and all sorts of toys they had.  It was so fun to watch her explore and get excited when she found new things.  Oh and if you are wondering about those pink cowboy boots with her outfit, she found them in her closet and had to wear them, she wouldn't let me put anything else on her.  It started pouring when we were leaving and as we were running to the car, one of her darn boots fell off into a puddle and then I couldn't get her in her seat fast enough and I was soaked, I mean soaked!  The whole thing was almost funny, of course it would end that way, that's the kind of week we were having!  It's definitely an adjustment to be home every day, I almost feel like I'm on maternity leave again.. it's so nice to be with Isabelle and see Jacob during the day and right after work, but I am going to have to find something for me, some 'me' time, just to help me stay sane ;).

Jacob celebrated a big birthday on March 20th and I saw that quote on a ballon and thought it was perfect for him- he had been talking about turning 30 and how he was so old now {I know, not really, just tough to leave the 20's!}.

Such a big helper at the grocery store to get all the goods for dad's birthday dinner.  It was our first outing to the store and with me not being used to where everything is yet, we probably went down every isle twice, we were there entirely too long!

 Another one of Isabelle's common words: ball... she loves them {yes, that is some bed/nap head going on}.

 This was really cute, Izzy girl with her cousins, they were helping feed her dinner and having many 3-way 'mmmwahhhs'!  They would mwah and then giggle - adorable.

Isabelle was having a wonderful time!

Of course we had a DQ ice cream cake!  I also made some delicious Funfetti rice crispy treats that we found via Pinterest at lovintheoven.

• 3 T butter
• 1 10-ounce bag of mini marshmallows (4 cups mini marshmallows)
• 3/4 C Funfetti cake mix
• 6 C rice krispies cereal
• 6 heaping tablespoons of sprinkles {I just used what came in the top of the Funfetti frosting container, didn't add extra}

1. Completely melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
2. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
3. Next, stir in the cake mix until dissolved. 
4. Stir in the cereal until it is evenly coated with marshmallow. Sprinkle in half of the sprinkles and mix and continue stirring. 
5. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13 baking dish and top with remaining sprinkles. Cut and enjoy!

*We put vanilla frosting on half of the treats {props to Jacob} and they were so delicious with the frosting that I think we will frost the whole pan next time!

Happy St. Pat's Day!

St. Patrick's Day was our first real day in our new house... we almost didn't even realize it was St. Patrick's Day, but I'm glad I did so Isabelle could wear her shirt at least once- she was the only one in green!

We walked over to Papa and Gigi's so Isabelle could 'weee' and take her nap while we unpacked boxes and got some stuff done.

She loves that swing!!  Thank you Gigi, Papa, Emme, Cooper and Harper for hanging with Iz so we could be productive!

Oh and I meant to post a picture of the new crib on the last post and forgot, so here she is!  I will post some of the inside soon!

:: we've moved ::

Once again we found ourselves staying at the Wilson Lawrence residence 'Tucker Trail' for our last days in Lawrence- thank goodness for that house!  The movers came on Tuesday to pack the house and were supposed to be done Wednesday morning, head to Salina and unload in the afternoon, but as usual, it took longer and they didn't unload until almost lunch time on Thursday; so Isabelle, the dogs and I stayed in Lawrence until Friday.  She got to go to daycare Monday-Wednesday and I was so sad picking her up on Wednesday, she loved it there and they loved her!  Her last report said, "Isabelle will be missed", just made me tear a little bit.

 The pooches quickly made themselves at home... like they never left!

And again!  She was holding Cooper's {Poopar} picture and Emme's, giving them kisses, it was the cutest thing.  I can't tell you how many times she took all the magnets off and I put them back on!

Isabelle and I had to go back by our house to see what the movers forgot to take and she wanted to swing {'weee'} - our last time.

She loved to go to the mini house where her wagon and cozy coupe were kept, made me so sad because I knew they were gone and that we wouldn't be back... I just needed to get over the fact that it was just a house, we were moving and would make new memories at our new house in Salina - tough for me to do!

She kept pulling up her pants for some reason, showing some leg!

I got a new iphone after turning in my blackberry at work and I love it!  There are so many fun apps and 'PopBooth' is one of my favorites!  Jacob and I have always gone in photo booths whenever we see them, so when I saw this one, I had to download it!

 One of Isabelle's new favorite words is 'purse', she says it a lot and LOVES to go through mine and take everything out {as you can see- look at that cheese!}.  The nice thing is, she puts most of it back and it helps me to clean it out.

Pooped, packed and on our way to Salina!  

We went by our house one last time to empty the fridge and it all hit me that we were moving out and it wasn't our house anymore.  I think the whole process drug on for so long that it didn't seem real and then the moving process was such a pain, that I was just over the whole thing.  I walked through the kitchen and the rest of the house one last time with Isabelle and that got the tears flowing, it was our first house, my dream kitchen, we made a lot of great memories there and I was going to miss it.  I had so many mixed feelings leaving Lawrence, I love Lawrence and I can't say I was excited about our move to Salina.  To be honest, if it wasn't for my husband and our child, I would not have done it!

And just to top it all off, we had people over to watch the KU game our first night in our house!  Yes, we are crazy!  We got into Salina about 2 and speed raced to put all the boxes in the basement and make things as presentable as possible {got Isabelle's room set up of course}.  We had no doors, so she slept her first night with a wardrobe box set up in her doorway, to help 'block' sound... better than nothing, right?  Luckily she is a heavy sleeper and was really tired because she slept through all the yelling!  Stay tuned for more updates on our new endeavors in our new home and city.

Henry's 2nd Birthday Party!

{I am going to try and catch you all up on everything in the next few days, as we have been crazy and I haven't been able to sit down and blog, I apologize!  It has been driving me crazy!}

 I checked on Isabelle and this is how she fell asleep, poor thing couldn't breath, she was so stopped up from her sickness.

I was so happy she woke up without a fever so we could go to Henry's birthday party.

She really wanted to get in her little walker for some reason- she still fits!

Henry's party was at 'Monkey Bizness' in Shawnee and Isabelle had a blast!

 Henry was so intrigued by the flame that he almost burnt his face.. I mean, that was a close one!!

 Izzy girl just wanted to play with the icing, she wasn't that interested in the cupcake... the ice cream on the other hand!

Poor girl's face was all red around her nose from wiping it so much- thank goodness she was feeling better though!  We had such a wonderful time and can't believe little Henry is 2!  If you live in KC and haven't been so Monkey Biz, you should definitely check it out- such a great place for your littles to play and get a bunch of energy out!
