:: Isabelle's celebration of life ::

Isabelle wanted funfetti cookies to take to school for her 'celebration of life', which is what they call it when they celebrate birthdays at school.. kind of a neat concept, you bring fun facts, milestones and pictures of your littles first years of life and they take an earth around a sun all the months until they get to their birthday month.. I thought it was a cute way to celebrate.
Talk about hot pink.. these things were so bright!!
My big girl, ready for her birthday! "Come on mom, I got the door for you!"
This is how you get the door open when you aren't quite tall enough..
So proud of herself!
Carrying in her baby, just like mommy..
We had a visit to the dentist before lunch, so both girls got tooth brushes.. best teether toy for Lillian.. brushes her teeth and helps her soothe! Happy little!
Lunch with the fam :)
Running in to school.. "bye mom!".. so sad!  More like bittersweet.. love that she's independent, but sad that she doesn't even need me to walk her in the door!
Isabelle {with her teacher, Ms. Molly} handing out her treats to all her friends at school.
Gigi, Papa, Courtney, Harper and Betsy {and dad of course} came to help celebrate Isabelle's special day. {you can see Courtney and Harper holding Lillian in the back ground}
Isabelle got pretty shy when we all walked in.. she doesn't really like to have all the attention on her, but it was so fun to go and see her in her school environment and meet all her friends.  They sang some cute songs for the celebration and their grace was really sweet, so glad we were able to be a part of it!

  1. That's the montessori way to celebrate a birthday as I have learned and we will be doing ours tomorrow! I think it's great!
