:: family day at the zoo ::

We had a fun Sunday at the zoo with Sue Sue.. started out cloudy and chilly, then turned into a beautiful day!  This goose was walking along with Iz and Jacob for awhile, Iz got a kick out of it.

These monkeys are so crazy looking.. just makes me think of 'Lion King'.

Check out that white tiger!  Really that they need that sign?! Duh!

The camel just got as low as he could to reach all the dandelions, like he was bowing or something.

Iz had a blast running around!

Little penguins are visiting the Salina zoo for awhile, they are pretty cute!

Oh my gosh, where's Isabelle, can't find her!  {we say that all the time when 'hide' Iz or play peekaboo, she thinks it's pretty funny}

We had such a great time, it was so fun to watch Iz get excited to see all the animals- she loved it!

Kentucky Derby!!

Kentucky Derby Day!  Of course she had to wear her 'I love Kentucky' onesie that Iz got from our family in Kentucky... loved this profile of her little nose.

 We had a Derby fundraiser party to go to so it was fun to dress up and be festive!

It was our first outing and we had a nice time!  Thank you Sue Sue for hanging with our littles, sorry things got hectic around bed time {it wasn't very fun to put both to bed by yourself, anything and everything would always go down}!

I had a lunch date with my little Iz in her play room and this was her sandwich.. mac + cheese grilled chee!  Holy smokes!  That was a mouthful!

Such a little love bug!

Jacob and I had a great kale flatbread at Pachamama's for our Anniversary so I had to try it out, some home made wheat pizza crust rolled thin, sunflower oil, kale and fresh parmesan.. put it on some cornmeal and bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.

The finished product.. it was pretty delicious!

:: Carrie Underwood Concert ::

Look at that girl.. love her little hands and fingers, the way her mouth is and that her feet are crossed!

We drove to KC for the Carrie Underwood concert on a Wednesday night.. it was a birthday present for Emme that was originally scheduled in December, but got rescheduled because Carrie got sick.. crazy to go 5 months later!  Dinner before the concert..

Hunter Hayes opened for her and it was funny to hear all the girls screaming at the top of their lungs for him!  I have to say, I only knew like 3 songs.

And there she is!!

It was a quick trip for Lillian and I, but I hadn't been to a concert in a long time, so it was fun to go and she was great!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Cheers to 4 years!!  Jacob and I had a fun afternoon and night in Lawrence for our Anniversary.. started out with lunch at one of our spots, La Parilla and margs were on special so we couldn't resist!  It was so crazy to sit there at lunch with no kids and have a drink!

Lillian hung out with Paisley and Aunt Ashley until my mom got off work.. it was my first night without Lillian and it was so weird, she was close by, but it was still weird not to have her in the next room.  I got this cute picture of Paisley hanging out with her new cousin!

Iz loved staying in Salina with her cousins while we were gone.. she was so set on us needing a trampoline when we got home {sad thing is, I would love it as much as she would}!

We had dinner at another one of our favorite places, Pachamamas and stayed down town at the Eldrigde.. our room was great and it was the craziest thing to wake up in the morning and not have to do anything but get myself ready to go to breakfast {which was at Milton's, we hit all the wonderful eating spots} and that was kind of awesome.

We picked up Lillian and headed home to this special girl.. she killed me with the outfit she wanted to wear.. even down to the shoes..

I loved how Lillian was sleeping, on her side with her legs crossed.

Lillian had her first stroll in the Bob and was all cozy.

We ended our weekend with a trip to get stuff for our garden.. I was so excited to get all the veggies planted!
