Happy Anniversary to us!

Cheers to 4 years!!  Jacob and I had a fun afternoon and night in Lawrence for our Anniversary.. started out with lunch at one of our spots, La Parilla and margs were on special so we couldn't resist!  It was so crazy to sit there at lunch with no kids and have a drink!

Lillian hung out with Paisley and Aunt Ashley until my mom got off work.. it was my first night without Lillian and it was so weird, she was close by, but it was still weird not to have her in the next room.  I got this cute picture of Paisley hanging out with her new cousin!

Iz loved staying in Salina with her cousins while we were gone.. she was so set on us needing a trampoline when we got home {sad thing is, I would love it as much as she would}!

We had dinner at another one of our favorite places, Pachamamas and stayed down town at the Eldrigde.. our room was great and it was the craziest thing to wake up in the morning and not have to do anything but get myself ready to go to breakfast {which was at Milton's, we hit all the wonderful eating spots} and that was kind of awesome.

We picked up Lillian and headed home to this special girl.. she killed me with the outfit she wanted to wear.. even down to the shoes..

Lillian had her first stroll in the Bob and was all cozy.

We ended our weekend with a trip to get stuff for our garden.. I was so excited to get all the veggies planted!

:: chicken + dumps ::

Ok, I had to take a picture of this because I never buy celery {just not a huge fan}, so therefore, don't cut it, and thought it looked so neat how it just kept stacking on the knife like a little rainbow.. but then they started looking like little grubs to me {yuck, I know} and had to get them in the pan asap.. anyway, reason for this purchase: Jacob had been wanting me to make him chicken + dumplings {a healthy version he found online}, so I finally did it {and the fact that it was our anniversary helped}!

Oh! And, it was in the crock pot, so that was bonus!  I will say, the dumplings took forever to roll all of the dough into little balls and it was with wheat flour so they were a little strange {and I guess not that great}, so I will not be sharing the recipe because Jacob and my mom said it wasn't very good or it was 'strange', hey thanks! ;)  It was the recipe's fault, not mine!  Just still wanted to share my first attempt at chicken + dumplings!

Jacob wasn't home this night and I was upstairs feeding Lillian to put her to bed and it was like I had a team of guard dogs ready to attack if anyone were to come up the stairs.. they are too smart!  They are always on their toes when I am home alone with the girls.. too bad they are so small and wouldn't do much harm.. at least they can sound scary!

I honestly just thought she looked cute in that outfit.. only reason for pics!  Too bad those pants were 3 month and way too tight in the thighs!  That was our last wear.

I believe we had a blowout that day, so she got changed into a new shirt.. just lounging..

A friend asked if I could make a scarf out of old K-State tees {yes of course} and it turned out really cute!

It was hard to get a picture of all of it because both sides all the way down were different, I tried my best!  Need to start going through all my tees!

:: Grilling with the neighbors ::

It's so nice to have great neighbors and we have the best backyard neighbors so we decided to have a mini pot luck grill party for dinner Sunday night.  We each had our own meat/non-meat to grill and then a side to share, then split the dessert ingredients of s'mores- so fun!  Izzy girl loves having 'her boys' over to play and for dinner, she was so excited that they were going to eat with us outside {outside is a big deal!}.

The Wasinger Fam meets Lillian!

This is Iz saying, "oh my goodness, what happened to our fence?".  Such an exciting day for us {and our back yard neighbors} to get rid of the old ugly chain with vines and weeds growing all over it!  It looked so strange with nothing there.

This looks like a funny picture, but Isabelle helped one of the girls at the child care place at the gym fold towels one day and became obsessed with folding!  I just saw the placemat folded so neatly on the table and did a double take.. she did a pretty good job!  Now she can even fold her clothes pretty well!  Bonus for me ;)!

The Wasingers came to visit and meet Lillian so it was fun for Iz and Greyson to hang out.. they love taking baths together!  {I love Runge's baby bump {Crew!!} sticking out in the pic}  Isabelle is telling Lindsey something and G is looking at her kind of like, this girl is too much!

We had a great time getting pizza, watching a movie and just hanging out with our friends!

 We saw this idea on Pinterest and just happened to have sweet potato tots in the freezer so I had to try it!  I didn't put enough on the waffle iron, but it was still good and you get the idea.. just pile some tater tots on and squish the top down!

Yummy smoothie that started our day, which consisted of frozen mixed berries {strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries}, frozen cherries {about 5.. our new addition- did you know they are good for your joints?! Total bonus for runners! And other aging bones of course :)}, small frozen banana, 1 kiwi, handful of washed spinach, 1/2 scoop vanilla Juice Plus+ powder {or protein powder of your choice} + about 16 oz of water.. blend.. drink.. ahhh.

I was so anxious to go to the doc and see your stats.. here they are!

Weight: 15 lbs 8 oz >97% {off the charts}

 ~you are so big, little girl, wearing size 2 diapers

~wearing 6 month and some 3-6 month clothing but not for long.. moved to some 6-9 month onesies shortly after these pics were taken.. pretty sure that's the last time you wore that onesie {hence how tight the button is being pulled in the diaper region}

~you are eating about 5oz of milk

~you slept from 8:30-5 which was amazing and had some other good 5-6 hour stretches during the night
~you have started to make little smiles.. too bad we didn't get one in any of these pics!

~you hold your head up really well and are very strong

~you love baths and the water

~you are such a huggable, squeezable babe and I love all your rolls!
~you like to lay on the play mat and look at everything above you

~you still take most of your naps in the bouncer or swing, but soon to be in your crib!

I feel like there should be so much more, but to be honest, a 2 month old still sleeps a lot and there isn't much action.. I will say we love you so much and are so thankful to have you as a part of our family.  We can't wait to watch you grow and change and see how much you will look like your big sister Isabelle.. we are also very excited for you two to be best friends as you grow up!
