:: Lillian's first walk + play date with Colin ::

We had kind of a crazy Friday, but we started out like this.. my favorite.

And 'coffee' (I know, it's tea, but Iz refers to it as coffee for some reason) and a cookie with my little- perfect start to my day!

I am not a huge head band person but we got this cute one from the Turpin's and Isabelle really wanted to put it on Lillian.. she didn't seem to mind (but staring at me like, really mom?)!

The weather was so nice, we got to take Lillian outside for a walk.. aaahhh!  It was wonderful to get outside!

I couldn't resist adding this.. I didn't even realize Iz took this pic and it just made me laugh when I saw it.. of all books {read it for book club, don't really recommend unless you love her- I know, I'm lame}!  And with her little feet sticking out with tattoos on them!

Isabelle thinking she is small again.. one of these days that thing is going to break and I'm going to be very sad!

Colin and Bonny came to visit us {thank you!} and Isabelle had fun playing peek-a-boo with him.. she had fun entertaining him!

It was so good to see you friends, thanks for coming!!

:: 2 wk doc appt + first bath ::

Poor thing, I had just gotten her to sleep and then we had to take her out and strip her down to be weighed and measured, so then I had to feed her again while waiting for the doc.. look at that face (not mine, please.. so terrible!).

Got her asleep again and then this.. it's a never ending cycle!

Our little girl checked out great, she is just big!  She had grown an inch (22.3", 96%) and gained almost 2 lbs! (10 lb 8 oz, 97%) and head circumference was 37.3cm, 75%.  Our doctor said it was pretty amazing that she was past her birth weight by that much at 17 days on strictly breast milk.. guess I still have heavy cream in there {sorry if that's TMI}!

Izzy girl got to play at Gigi's while we were at the doc.. she was in heaven!  Have you ever seen so many Barbies and accessories?!  Oh and her little tutu.. reminded me of Ace Ventura!

 

I love how she nuzzles, she is such a snuggle bug!

Those lips, that mouth.. so reminds me of when Isabelle was a baby! 

 Lillian's cord stub fell off a couple days before our doctor appointment but it still seemed kind of open and yucky so I wanted to wait to get the 'all clear' from the doc.. so glad we did because I couldn't wait to get her all cleaned up!  I had given her sponge baths, but just not the same!  They get so yucky under their neck and in all those rolls! Ha!  I bet you all have a great picture in your mind ;)!

Luckily she loves the water!

Isabelle wanted to help.. she actually wanted to get in the sink with sister, hence the no clothes on.

I feel like she's like, "what? quit taking pictures of me, I'm taking a bath!".

I was trying to get a picture of how soft and fluffy her hair was, but I just couldn't capture it.. thought I would share my efforts anyway.

Sue Sue!!

Dad was gone Saturday for the game, so Sue Sue came to hang and help mom (thank you!).. we made red velvet cupcakes and Iz was so good at monitoring the batter..

This was funny, Iz was trying to climb on Sue Sue for her to hold her.. but it just reminded me of 'koaling'- I should have sent it in to Ellen!

Isabelle's picture taking skills have gotten much better, she actually took it of something this time.. that's what I was reading!

Okay first I have to apologize that I am almost a month behind.. it makes me crazy and it is my mission to be caught up soon!  It's just hard, it takes a bit of time to do each post and that I have little of that lately.. just looking at these pics of Lillian made me realize how behind I am because she looks so different now!  How funny is this face?

Dad had to go out of town for work a little earlier than I would have liked, but we managed!  We had a fun girls night with cousins, Aunt Betsy and Gigi.. dinner and Yogurtini (one of Isabelle's favorites- she yells the name every time we drive by the building in the car)!

Isabelle is such a goof ball.. she has her tooth stuck in the straw and I guess she thinks it's pretty cool?!

Isabelle did such a good job eating her jelly toast that she made a cat face with it {looks like it anyway}.

This was really funny.. Iz picked this shirt out on her own and I said, "oh, I like that, did you know that's where mom went to school? That's K State", Iz: "I like K State", "I do too", Iz: "Go K State, like Henry says".. then dad walks in and says, "oh no, what are you wearing, go KU".. and Iz was perfect and said, "go K State, go KU!".

Funny to see her in shorts above, but that's how she likes to nap, and then all bundled below.. we got to take our first walk since the babe- it was so nice to get outside!  It was hard being stuck inside and I felt so bad for Iz, but we couldn't exactly take Lillian out in the freeze!

She just wanted to walk on the snow, but gave it up pretty quick after this fall.. her bum was cold and she didn't like that.
