:: off we go ::

We got all packed up and headed to KC after Iz woke up from her nap on Tuesday... Iz thought she needed to bring all her lunch bags and every animal in her bed, which is like 7 or 8{and we did}!

Calling for daddy to come down... stopped when she saw I was taking a picture to say, "cheeese".

I was getting so sad knowing we were getting ready to leave her for a little over a week.  Our flight was super early Wednesday morning {alarms were set for 3:30- yuck} so we didn't even get to see her then, but I did sneak in and give her some love taps/touches.  SO glad that was the last Bahamas trip without our little mama!

:: our weekend ::

Izzy girl and I had lunch with dad on Saturday and ran an errand before- she just looked so cute to me {of course, I know}.

We were both chilly after Iz woke up from her nap and I had my slippers and a hoodie on, so that's what she wanted to wear too...

We like to try and make the tallest thing we can with the blocks and then Isabelle knocks it all over so the pieces go flying everywhere, she loves it.

Our Sunday- we went on a nice long walk and had the fun surprise of the sprinklers being on when we got back, it took Iz about 2 seconds to take her shirt and shorts off and get in them!

Such a happy little girl!!

Oh man, Iz just cracks me up these days, I walked into the sun/play room and she had her glasses {gasses} on her head, with her hair everywhere. loved it.

We had a nice little weekend with the family before we were headed to the Bahamas without our little girl :(.  I really tried not to think about it, but I started getting sad weeks before we were leaving... good thing she gets to go next year!

:: my little cowgirl ::

Isabelle just loves to ride her rocking horse and love it, because it was Jacob's when he was little... so special.  She was so excited that she had her Jayhawk {Jaycock} shirt on and couldn't wait to show dad because he left before she got up, it was so cute.

This was hilarious, Iz got up from her nap {she has to wear shorts to bed for some reason now, hence the mis match outfit} and wanted to ride her Rody, she was bouncing all over like crazy, stopped, looked at me and was like, "boots, boots mom", so I said, "you want your boots?", "yes", "should we go up and get them?", "yes"... so we ran upstairs and she got her boots- voila!  She just cracks me up!

:: i love books ::

We took a quick trip to Manhattan to have lunch with our friends Bonny + Zach and visit the book store.  We love the 'Dusty Bookshelf' {in Lawrence + Manhattan}, it is a used book store and I have gotten some of Isabelle's favorite books from there... we bought these 3 books for the price of 1 new book- score!  I love going through all the children's books!

 She was so excited to get new books, she wouldn't let us help her hold them..

All the book/mag reading put her out for the ride home, perfect timing for her nap!

Thanks for having lunch with us Bons + Zach, we will be back to meet your sweet new little bundle, Colin :)!

:: just a *little* chalk ::

Izzy girl loves to color with chalk. everywhere.

I mean. everywhere.

I was just smiling so big when she got up and walked off, look at that bum!

She colored her nose... at least it matched it shirt ;).

Oh man, Jacob and I went to lunch and got these insane cinnamon rolls, we had no idea what they were going to be like so we ordered one for us and one for Iz... we could have just gotten one- they were HUGE!  And delicious!!  We had them for two breakfasts, all sat at the table and split them :).

I woke up and walked downstairs to this beautiful sky.. the picture just doesn't even do it justice.  I was getting ready to run outside but it got really windy and I could hear thunder so I started walking to the gym and there was some crazy lightening going on!  It was a good decision, as it down poured about 10 minutes after I got in.

Iz loves to jump off this step, she counts, "oonnne, twwwooo" and then jumps off with such excitement... and we do it like 10 {or 20} more times.

This is a little bit of dancing, she still loves 'ring around the rosie'... she just starts turning in circles and says, "mom", which is my cue to start singing, which makes her happy.

Putting her babies in her chair... it's so fun to watch her take care of her babies, she lays them on the ground {sometimes throes, we're working on that ;)} and says they are sleeping, then covers them with their blankets, it's the cutest thing.. she gives them bottles and tries to change their diapers, says, "they're poopy mommy".. love it!

She had to make sure she had her purse and baby bag.. this picture just cracked me up because she has her hands on her face and had just said, "oh gosh", because she couldn't quite get a handle on both of them.

I just loved Iz in this little dress and sandals, so of course I had to take some pictures :).

My munchkin was still a little sleepy when she woke up for her nap, lucky for me because she just laid on me for like 30 minutes- love that!
