:: Isabelle's celebration of life ::

Isabelle wanted funfetti cookies to take to school for her 'celebration of life', which is what they call it when they celebrate birthdays at school.. kind of a neat concept, you bring fun facts, milestones and pictures of your littles first years of life and they take an earth around a sun all the months until they get to their birthday month.. I thought it was a cute way to celebrate.
Talk about hot pink.. these things were so bright!!
My big girl, ready for her birthday! "Come on mom, I got the door for you!"
This is how you get the door open when you aren't quite tall enough..
So proud of herself!
Carrying in her baby, just like mommy..
We had a visit to the dentist before lunch, so both girls got tooth brushes.. best teether toy for Lillian.. brushes her teeth and helps her soothe! Happy little!
Lunch with the fam :)
Running in to school.. "bye mom!".. so sad!  More like bittersweet.. love that she's independent, but sad that she doesn't even need me to walk her in the door!
Isabelle {with her teacher, Ms. Molly} handing out her treats to all her friends at school.
Gigi, Papa, Courtney, Harper and Betsy {and dad of course} came to help celebrate Isabelle's special day. {you can see Courtney and Harper holding Lillian in the back ground}
Isabelle got pretty shy when we all walked in.. she doesn't really like to have all the attention on her, but it was so fun to go and see her in her school environment and meet all her friends.  They sang some cute songs for the celebration and their grace was really sweet, so glad we were able to be a part of it!

Iz brought this picture home from the gym and I had to ask her if she had really colored it.. I was just amazed at how well she had colored in the lines!  I mean, look at those dots!  I was one proud mama!
Look at that happy girl- she loves walks!
Yep, pushed two umbrella strollers at one time!
Nice 'smile' face, Iz! ;)
Love how Lillian is watching what Isabelle is doing.. and that her feet are crossed!
Cheese!  {but I'm still not going to look!}
Lil loves looking out the window... oh and don't mind Lucy's bum shot!
Lillian having a blast watching Papa and Cooper play basketball..
Love this happy little girl!  She knows how to do the twist!
Love when Lillian falls asleep after I feed her.. sweet little.. those cheeks, lips, fingers.. ahhh!
 just crawling like crazy..
 look at that face.. loved how she was still holding on to the car seat while she fell asleep.
 Shopping for Isabelle and Harper's birthday party with Emme!
 This was November so of course I made pumpkin things.. this was a pumpkin applesauce bread {will post recipe later because it was really good, I made it again right after this one was eaten}.
 Some yummy sweet potato soup.. recipe courtesy of our friend Jess Martin, she made it for us after we brought Lillian home and we liked it so much, we got the recipe.. it's a Giada recipe and it's so good!
 Had it with some delicious corn bread {also from Jess!}, which I have to find the recipe because it has cottage cheese in it {crazy right?!}.  I did so bad at taking pictures of the plated foods, so apologize for the half eaten pan shot!  And that's the pumpkin bread in the background.. had to frost some for Jacob!

Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!  Yay!
Love these two!!
Lilly girl in her Mickey sweater for Halloween day..
I turned on the monitor and could not stop watching Lillian.. I videoed some of her chatter but can't get it to upload for some reason, so here is a pic, love how her hand on her chest while she's watching her light up thing, like, oh my!
Iz's school had a pumpkin carving party and Jacob and I were able to go and help.. it was fun to watch Iz hammer away at her pumpkin.
Iz and her good friend Jillian.
So, from Prince Charming in Disney World, we got the best idea for Lillian's costume.. Gus Gus!!
After some felt, head band and hot glue, her costume was complete!
So happy to be Gus Gus, hi mom!
And Cinderella herself..
Love this pic!  Poor Lilly girl might kill us when she gets older and finds out we dressed her up as a chunky boy mouse!
Ready!
Our little Disney fam..
Iz got a little scared by a smoke machine..
 First Reese's peanut butter cup!  Only because it was Halloween!
 It was another crazy night in our neighborhood.. Isabelle was exhausted and pretty much had candy for dinner.. Lillian was a drooling mess from teething, but got a lot of compliments on her costume.. next year will be fun for both girls!
