Days with Gigi...

Daycare was closed again Monday and Tuesday, lucky for us, Gigi came in town to save the day and hang with Isabelle!

Our Sophie has been missing for awhile now and I have probably been more bummed about it than Iz (only because she hadn't realized it yet ;) ), but Gigi replaced her and we were so excited!  I think Iz remembered her Sophie because she was so happy to see her again!  Thank you Gigi :)!

Gigi also got Isabelle her new favorite toy... check out this little dog, he sings, dances and teaches her letters and numbers, it's pretty great and she absolutely loves it!  You push his feet to make him do his thing and it took her two seconds to figure that out!

Thanks again Gigi for staying with our little Iz and her new toy!  Isabelle had a great time and we really appreciate it!

Breakfast and the patch!

I love going to breakfast on the weekends, it's one of my favorite things and we got to have breakfast on Sunday at Milton's with Papa, Aunt Ashley and Jeff, it was delicious, as usual.

We were trying to prepare Jeff for his future child ;).

Iz is so big now, she just sits in the high chair and is part of the table, it's the best.

Just being part of the conversation.. asking Papa for more of his cinnamon roll... she loved it... I know, 'of course she did'. 

We went to the local pumpkin patch in the afternoon and had a great time, it was pretty windy and dusty, but Isabelle loved it so that made it worth all the dirt.

She loved the pumpkins and kept trying to hold them.

We stuck her in the wheel barrel and I could not stop taking pictures of her, she was just so happy and did not want to get out.

The patch had cows and chickens and Isabelle was so into the chickens that we could not get her to face the camera.. she even latched on to the fence and wouldn't let go.. pretty funny.

We had such a great time at the patch, I absolutely loved it, we will have to go back next year for sure.

DIY :: White Decorative Bottles

I saw this idea on my new favorite website 'Pinterest', it's the new craze these days and it's absolutley wonderful (I can't believe I haven't blogged about it sooner), you have to check it out!  We had Izze bottles and white spray paint, so Jacob and I made these white bottles for Isabelle's room and they couldn't be more simple... I love them.

Another little project/piece we did: We found this metal cabinet at an antique shop awhile back, stripped it and had it sprayed with car paint for the great gloss, then added a neat crystal knob to the door... turned out nice and perfect for little mama's room.

Just curious...

A couple days at home with my Iz...

We found out from Jennifer on our way home from the races that her son had to have surgery unexpectedly and she couldn't watch Iz Monday thru Wednesday, naturally, I was secretly excited because I would get some extra days with mama, but it really kind of stumps us because we don't have much of a back up plan on the fly.  I stayed with her Monday and Wednesday and Aunt Betsy was kind enough to come to Lawrence to watch her Tuesday so I could make some work meetings.

Of course our morning started out with a run :).. the best start to a day!

I came around the corner to find this... 

and I just let it happen, it was much easier than trying to keep up with her and put everything back as she took it back out again... so once everything was off the shelf, I put it back and removed her from the area... remember when I said, don't do open shelving?  

She is so busy and determined to get everything off the shelf..

I love this look of concentration and accomplishment.

Iz and I had so much fun together, it was so nice to get to spend extra time with her, especially since it was unexpected.
