Tree Swing...

Jacob found this wonderful tree swing from a guy on etsy and we love it!

Izzy girl loves it too!

 I couldn't resist putting both of these on here because Iz looks so happy in both!  She loves to hold on to the ropes.

 Street view... it's kind of crazy how many people have stopped and commented on the swing, it's quite the attention getter!

I had to share this picture of our beautiful (and huge) hydrangea!  It is taller than my waist and out of control, but perfect to cut the blooms so we can enjoy them inside too!

Summer Fun!

My mom and I took Iz to the pool this weekend and she loved it, she loves splashing around in water!

She was a little unsure at first and kept checking everything out, but once she got use to it, she had a great time.

I love this picture of Iz and her gram, even though it's the back of both of them.

Iz loved the fountain, it was so cute because she thought she could grab it and it just kept splashing her in the face.

I highly recommend these little floatys with the shades, Iz loved kicking her feet around and it was nice to keep her covered.

We tried to see if Iz could swim a little bit and she did pretty good until she started to put her mouth in the water.. I didn't really want her drinking the chlorine (and everything else that can be in pools ;) ).  It's kind of crazy how babies float in the water, they are like little buoys... I was too nervous to let Iz float on her back all the way because her ears would be under water, I'm sure it's fine at her age (right?), but we didn't do it.. maybe next time!  It is so fun to expose Isabelle to new things and see how she reacts to them.. I can't wait to show her even more of this crazy world!

Every little thing she does...

I'd like to say is magic!  Iz is so great in the morning when she wakes up because she will lay in her crib and play and talk for awhile before she lets us know she's ready to get out; it's nice for us to be able to get ready (or sleep longer) before getting her ready.

I like to watch her during her play time because she is usually laughing, throwing her blanket around, eating her toes... so this morning I heard her music going off and when I looked, she was pushing her music on and off with her foot... it's kind of hard to see, but her right foot is in her mouth, while her left foot is pushing her music on the side of her crib.. and of course, I'm like, she's so smart!  But I know, it was probably a one time thing that she just happened to stumble upon ;).

Izzy girl loves the remote control (another thing with buttons that lights up), so I sat her in the middle of the bed with the remote so I could change real quick and of course I couldn't stop taking pictures of her!  This is also her 'ready to crawl' position, she does the little bounce and rocks a little bit.. soon enough, she will be on the move!  

I also loved that our 'love' pillow was so perfectly positioned in the pic, perfect word for my little one. 

So Isabelle is getting a little big for this bouncy seat and she has learned that if she bounces her legs like crazy, it will scoot her out of it (dangerous, I know), so I looked over from getting ready and saw this, she thought she was so clever with that big grin!

Happy 7 months to Isabelle!

To our precious Isabelle, you have changed so much in the last month and we can't believe you are already 7 months old!  We really wish you would stop growing so fast!

~you are wearing mostly 9-12 month clothing, but still fit into a few of your 6 month outfits

~you are still wearing size 2 dipes

~you have yet to really wear shoes, you have just worn some of the little soft soles, but you love to be bare foot like your mom :)

~you have been drinking about 7-8 ounces of breast milk for the last 2 weeks (from 6 oz) and sadly, our milk supply is getting low and we will have to get you some formula (which I know nothing about!)

~you still love your composer seat and bouncy seat, although you are getting pretty big for the bouncy and you like to try and bounce out of it by kicking your legs like crazy

~you are so inquisitive, you are interested in everything and like to touch and feel anything in sight, especially mom's jewels, you try to pull everything off (necklaces, bracelets, earrings) 

 ~you are sitting up so well on your own and have started to lean forward into the rocking position like you are ready to crawl!

~you are still sleeping from about 7-6 which is wonderful for mom and dad!

 ~you still love your tongue and to put everything in your mouth, we just keep thinking a tooth is going to pop through at any minute
~you think peek-a-boo is hysterical and we have found your tickelish spots
~you love when we make noises at you, like click our tongue or snap our fingers, it makes you laugh so we do it often :)

 ~you are still so smiley and happy, you have started to squeal and make really high pitch noises that are pretty funny
~you have started to sound out little words and I hate to say it, but you pretty much say dada (of course she says dad first, that's just because it's easier to say than mama, right?).. I recorded some of her babble for your listening pleasure...

 ~you love your Sophie the giraffe  and all other things you can chew on

~you are enjoying all the fruits and veggies... you usually eat some rice cereal and fruit around 8-8:30 and then veggies at noonish and veggies and fruit for dinner around 5:30, then we get ready for bed and I nurse you, sometimes to sleep, which I love (I am still nursing you in the mornings and before bed)

We still just love watching you grow, change and develop, you are so much fun and we love you more than anything! XOXO, mom and dad

Summer hats!

I got super sick Friday morning and was pretty much out of commission all weekend, we had a wedding reception for a work friend of mine Friday night and then the annual KU Alumni party in Salina Saturday night and I could barely get up, so I missed both... Jacob went to the KU party Saturday night and luckily my mom came to the rescue to help me with Isabelle duties (thank you mom!)... man, were my motherhood skills tested, trying to care for Iz when I could barely take care of myself, it was tough!  I felt so bad Saturday morning when she got up, because all I could do was lay on the couch and I just sat her next to me and was trying to entertain her with the remote control (sad, I know).. anyway, long story short, I started to feel better Sunday morning and wanted to get some fresh air (first time outside since Friday morning, yeah, terrible!) so we took Iz and the pooches on a little stroll and it was so hot and sunny that Iz needed to wear one of her sun hats... it is too big for her (clearly) so it kind of looks like a shower cap!

I just love this picture of her looking off to the side with that little smile on her face... love her.

And then she passed out so we had to keep stopping so I could take pictures of her... a couple I took... you just can't beat those cheeks.

 We gave her a bath in the sink for the first time (she has moved on from the baby whale tub!) and she loved it, so much more room to splash!

We put the rubber pad (like for under rugs so they don't slip) in the bottom of the sink so she wasn't sliding all over the place and it just kept floating, I think it will be better if I cut it smaller to fit the sink... it does the trick though!  Izzy girl loved her bath in the bigger tub, the sink is the perfect size for her.

                                                  

This is still one of my favortie things, when she falls asleep on me after eating, love it... my little boogie!

Oh and the verdict of my sickness... I went to the doctor Monday afternoon after I had to leave work to find out that it is/was just a GI virus/bug and there is nothing I can do about it but let it run its course... I was like, really, thanks a lot!  I am finally on the uphill climb but I hope none of you get it, it's awful!!  Happy day!

Just some Iz from the week...

 As you all know, I am picture crazy when it comes to our little one, so here are just a few (I know, it's more than a few) from our week.

Iz has gotten to wear a lot of different clothes now that it is so hot out and she just looks so cute showing off her chub arms, I love it!

 She plays with metal measuring spoons at Gigi's so I had to whip ours out and she just loves them, it's hard to get her to concentrate on eating when they are in her line of vision.

 Izzy girl just loves the pups, she just grabs at their faces and luckily, they don't mind!

She has been such a cheese lately!
