A couple 'firsts' for Iz!

I just have to preface this pic with: Jacob let me go to the basketball game Thursday night (awesome, I know!) and he stayed home with Isabelle for their first father/daughter bonding night....

I asked Jacob to put her pjs on if she was still awake and I got this pic from him saying 'not awake'... I was dying, so funny!  I was like, um, she looks a little crooked, you might want to fix her!

I loved how she had her mouth so I had to get a snapshot... her lips just looked so perfect.  Our precious Isabelle!

"The Event"

We had Isabelle's newborn pics Tuesday morning and it was such a trip!  First off, our little one doesn't do well without her diaper on!  I fed her to make her sleepy, then we took her diaper off for the pictures and as I was holding her, she had the biggest spit up EVER, on my shoulder and down my whole front, then peed on my arm, as Jacob and I were frantically trying to get her and me cleaned up, she pooed on me and was just pissed!  Then we had her laying down on her tummy and she spit up on the bench so Jacob picked her up and she just peed all over their backdrop paper!  I went to the bathroom to clean up a little bit and when I came back, she had pooped on Jacob and he was putting her diaper back on!  It was a very eventful couple of hours, filled with poo, pee, crying, feeding and sleeping!  Thank you Becca for dealing with us and sorry again about your paper!  It's a good thing you only take newborn pics once!  We can't wait to see them because Becca is amazing and I'm sure they are great!

Flash Back: Greyson meets Isabelle!

I couldn't resist adding this pic even though it's out of order... my best friend Runge and her sweet little boy Greyson (born Oct. 6th, so they are about a month apart) surprised me at the hospital after we had Isabelle and it was the best surprise ever!  She managed to get a quick shot of Iz and Greyson (they are besties, they just don't know it yet!), too bad Iz doesn't look as happy as Greyson!

Friends meet Isabelle!

Our friends came to visit and meet Isabelle on Friday.  Thanks again for coming and bringing us dinner, we really appreciated it!  It was so good to see you all!

This was funny because Izzy was ready to eat (and not happy) and we were trying to get one last pic, so I turned my head last minute and that's the face I made (nice, I know)... and Henry is just happy as ever!

Take one: we aren't sure what I'm looking at, but Isabelle and Jacob look perfect (and it was so hard to get her to look at the camera!), so I had to post it.

Happy Thanksgiving!!  We wanted Isabelle to be included in the meal so we put her on the side in her swing... she didn't last long before she told us (me) it was time for her to eat too, so half way through my plate I fed her and then finished a chilly plate of food... I know, I need to get used it!

I couldn't resist putting this on here, one of my favorite drinks happens to have the same name as our little one (just spelled different) ;).

Isabelle is 2 weeks old!

Hurray, I'm 2 weeks old!

I just thought this was so cute, her sleeping (she's out!) on gram, she loves to sleep on her belly!

She loves her swing (thanks again Nia, Chris and Fam!) and of course, has her arms up in it!

Isabelle is just great, she has been having some pretty good sleep stretches at night (3-3 1/2 hr periods, waking up just to eat), but we are working on getting rid of a diaper rash right now that makes her unhappy :(!  Her hair is growing and her look seems to change a little bit every day, I can't believe she is already 2 weeks old!  I will try and get a few good ones with her eyes open!

I had to add this from Isabelle's first photo op by her cuncle Adam (cousin/uncle, we aren't sure what to call him), she looked so peaceful in all of them!  Thanks Adam!

And, we can't forget about these two... Isabelle's big brother and sister, they love her!
