So much to be thankful for...

Izzy girl got up the morning of Thanksgiving and was ready to start wearing Christmas gear.. so this is the shirt she picked out- just made me laugh since it was Turkey Day and she was one day early.
Oh and she's enjoying this delicious Pumpkin Coffee Cake from prettygoodfood.com that I started to make before our Turkey Trot run and my mom finished it while we were at the race {yes, I did run.. the whole thing, I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but I was pretty proud of myself, I thought I was going to have to walk some of it, but ran the whole thing right under 30 minutes!!  I was so happy!}.. I think I posted it on our CO trip post, but if not, there it is again!
A couple attempts to get a family photo...
Iz wasn't feeling the picture taking.. maybe should have done it after we ate, but wanted us to look nice + fresh.
Isabelle's turkey dinner.. ready to eat!
We had a big Thanksgiving this year, lots of family... Isabelle moved to the kids table- you can kind of see her in the back there..
There was quite the volleyball game going on and Isabelle was just running all around, playing in the sand, like nothing else was going on... I had so much fun watching her and taking pictures.
Don't mind me, I'm just going to run right through the middle
of your game...
This girl just loves sand!  I was so glad that she was covering her feet with sand. ;)
and laying in it...
it is one of my favorite pics though.
oh and rolling in it- literally.
She got in the game!
Love this of her and Gigi.. high five!
Ready, set...
Go Iz!!
Run!!
Apparently these two couldn't hack it- they both passed out.. you know what they say about eating turkey!
The sunset was so pretty on our drive home from the farm.. this doesn't even do it justice.
Isabelle was so tired, we were going to leave a little earlier and try to put her down for a nap, but at that point it just seemed like we should put her to bed early.. that was the plan at least, but she fell asleep within minutes of sitting down with dad to watch basketball before night, night time.. this was at about 6:45!  I just loved when I walked in the living room and saw 3 of my loves asleep- such an 'awe' moment.
My gram's birthday landed on turkey day this year so we got her a cake and had a mini celebration after Iz went to bed.. we had to do it again the next night for her because she was so excited to have granmma's cake!  I tried to make it a surprise that we got one, but made the mistake of having Isabelle with me to pick it up, so almost right when my mom and gram got to our house, Iz opened the fridge, pointed to it and said, "wanna have gramma's cake?".. I just looked at her with those wide, oh my gosh, what are you saying eyes- big mistake, because then she just said it again!  HA!  Good thing it wasn't like a really big/important surprise!  Note to self: don't let Isabelle in on any secrets that you want kept a secret!  Love her!
We had such a nice day, with so many things to be thankful for!  I'm so glad my mom and gram were able to come to Salina and have Thanksgiving with us!

Disclaimer- I'm really trying to catch up, promise!!

love cousin time!!

So silly.. I put her chair on the coffee table so the dogs wouldn't sleep in it, not thinking Iz would climb up and sit in it while it was on the table.. oh, she did.
We went over to play with cousins and aunt Bets, it's always so fun to watch!  Poor girl met the ball head on!  Didn't phase her though!
I wonder what they are conspiring about!
"Let's go play soccer!", so cute, they were holding hands while they ran to the front where the soccer goal was.
Legs aren't quite long enough yet...
super girls!!
It's crazy that it was so warm the night before Thanksgiving.. Emme is in shorts and a t-shirt!

:: my little artist ::

Our 'Parents as Teachers' activity was finger painting {YAY!} and she had such great ideas, put a shower curtain liner over the table {and throw it in the wash after} and put the paper in a plastic tray- no mess!  We had so much fun!
 hand prints- love them!
Oh Reg, you are the funniest dog!

Happy 4th Birthday Harper!!

We brought our tree up a little before Turkey Day, didn't decorate it or anything, but just got it out of the basement so it would be ready.. Iz's face was priceless when she saw it.. just the plain Christmas tree, she was so excited!
We had Harper's birthday party Sunday night and it was a princess theme so Izzy girl was in her tutu.

Harper looking so cute in her new head phones!
so curious...
Iz got a little crazy after dinner and was running around with her tutu on her head.. looking like an Indian chief!
Oh and Cooper had it on too.. I had to be so fast to get a pic, but I got one!
I mean, literally, running!  Such a goof ball!
Look at that fun princess cupcake cake!  Happy Birthday to Harper!
Iz definitely had her share of sugar!
 Loving the cookie and cupcake!
She was so funny.. I wish I would have gotten some video of her and what she was saying because my eyes were watering I was laughing so hard.
