My 2nd Mother's Day... Jacob and I got to work out together while my mom made veggie biscuits + gravy {one of my favorite things, thanks mom!} and this is what was going on while I was showering, so cute...

Surprise mom!

I made this cake for our lunch and it's the same strawberry cake I posted last year, but I realized I didn't take a picture of the cake after I swirled it, so I wanted to show how pretty it looks.. and then of course I forgot to take a picture of the cake after it was baked and decorated... next time!

I did get a pic of a slice {or two} when I had a piece the next day :).

We all went out to the farm for a late lunch and some QT with the family.

I caved and bought this tutu skirt at Target because it was only $5 and I couldn't resist the neon pink.. apparently the waistband itches and this was Isabelle's way of letting us know.

:: pre-mother's day ::

What a busy day!  We got up early to check out the Farmer's market and it was pretty small:(, so we walked through all the flowers and plants so we could pick out a few for the house.  Izzy girl and I were up eating breakfast and she had to sit on the window seat.. I couldn't resist taking pictures of her...

Isabelle has started to say 'cheese' when I hold up my phone or camera to take a picture and this was the first time she said it, so it was pretty funny.

We did make + plant this at the market, my Mother's Day flower from Iz ;).

Isabelle just loved that there were wagons, so she was so helpful!

Met the cousins and fam at Freddy's for lunch.. 

Gram and I took Isabelle to the playground before dinner and she just loves it, the 'weee' {swing} and slide!

These are just funny.. Jacob hooked up his Play Station and was like a little kid with all his games and holding that controller.  He told me to come in the room and this is what I found... I can't get over all of Isabelle's facial expressions {and body for that matter!}.

:: a little hair bow ::

I made Izzie girl this little bow clip so I had to share it.  I just bought the little plain ribbon covered clips from Hobby Lobby and tied some ribbon into a double bow and glued it on.. simple as that!  I have tons of ribbon scraps and need to make more, but here is my first one..

She wanted to help me pick weeds so she wouldn't put the gloves down.

Every time we hear a plane flying, we have to find it {which my mom has always done, so I kind of love it}, so this is Iz watching the plane fly by.

Just one of my favorite faces she makes, it's her face when she hears something and she usually points, like 'huh'.. I can't figure out how to write the noise, but you know, like an 'oh my gosh, did you hear that' kind of sound.

The clip actually stayed in most of the day, but she does love to pull it out :(.
