That Tongue!!

Our morning routine, Iz in her bouncy seat on the island while I eat breakfast and get my stuff together for work... I just had to share these because she has been so funny lately with her tongue, she sticks it out, blows spit bubbles and giggles all the time, it just cracks us up!

2 Veggie: Sweet Potatoes

So we tried carrots again and she still didn't seem to like them so I bought a little jar of sweet potatoes to test them out on her before I made a big batch... needless to say, she loved them!

A little skeptical at first...

Then, okay, I like these...

And, yummo!  Can I have more mom?!  

It was so funny, she was trying to get every last  bit off of her fingers!  It is so fun feeding her 'real food' now and seeing her react to the different tastes and textures.. she eats a couple Tbls of veggies and then a T of rice cereal now :)!

Carrots!

 She's like, 'I don't think I like those mom' or she's a mini me!  She really wanted her hands to be in her mouth the whole time, so it was quite the mess!

 Getting more uncertain...

 Yeah, I don't think so!  She was so funny, she did not like them at all!  I even felt like she was gagging a  little bit.. eek!  We will try again tomorrow and see how it goes!

I was recording this with one hand and trying to feed her with the other, so that's why it gets off to the side a little bit, sorry about that!

Weekend Fun!

 We had such a warm and beautiful weekend that we had to pull out all of Isabelle's short sleeves and she kept drooling and spitting up on them that we almost ran out (until I found the stash from in the clothes Courtney gave us... thank you Turpins:) )!  

 It was so hot that she didn't need pants or socks, which she loved!

We went on a walk/run and Iz was so happy and chatty, I just kept stopping to take pictures of her and record her...

 I just love her so much!!

Baby Food Time!!

The doctor said we could start feeding Isabelle veggies so I tried out my Beaba Baby cooker for the first time and it was a success!  I made her some carrots, we'll see if she likes them tomorrow!

I love this thing!  Yummy!

We love books!

I look terrible in this pic (to my friends who love my pink scrunchie, yes, I am wearing it!) but thought it was so funny because we are both looking at dad like, what now, we are busy!

Iz loves to look at the books and try to grab at the pictures, she can even kind of hold some of them herself... this is one of our favorite things to do before bed time :).

Happy 5 Months to our precious Isabelle!

 We cannot believe you are 5 months old, you are changing and developing so much every day!

This is our typical night right when we get home, you sit in the Bumbo and eat your rice cereal before bath and bed time. 

 3/27- mixed breast milk with rice cereal and you have a new found love for rice cereal!
-you are still eating 6 oz of breast milk about every 3 hours
4/1- you rolled over from your back to belly in your crib, you really wanted to be on your belly! 

-you are wearing some 3-6 month clothing, but also 6-9 and 6-12 month

-you are still wearing a size 2 diaper (thank goodness ;))!

-we would guess you maybe weigh around 18 lbs since you were a little over 16 at your last month appt.

-you are such a good sleeper, you sleep from about 7-6ish, with a few one off nights of course when you wake up at 4, eat a little and go right back to bed

-you have been moving all over your crib... you love to be diagonal and horizontal in there and you wiggle your self to the top and bottom so your head will be touching the edges of the crib and wake you up

-you are still a drool monster, but still no signs of teeth

-you still love your bouncy seat, Mr. Octopus play mat and your 'composer' saucer

-you are so interested in things now, you look at them so intently and then want to hold them (including mom and dad's faces, you love to touch them and squeeze our noses) and put them in your mouth

-you have been sitting up pretty well and laughing and giggling all the time... especially when we blow on your tummy, we get the best laugh ever, it's my favorite!

-you stick your tongue out all the time and have started blowing bubbles with it

-you LOVE your feet!  You always want to hold them and put your toes in your mouth... Jennifer told us you were sucking on your big toe the other day!

-you are still so chatty, especially on the way home from daycare, I feel like you are telling me all about your day.  I always open the sun roof all the way back because you love to look out at the sky and trees.

I had to include this picture of you in your crib because you are so sprawled out, it just made me laugh (I know, it looks kind of creepy with the night vision)

You are such a precious little love bug and we love you more than anything!
